Monday, 5th August - McKinney Rewrites Club Records at National Half
Pauric Mc Kinney successfully defended his National Half Marathon title on Monday, 5th August at the National Championships in Dublin. Over 7000 athletes took to the street of Dublin for the race, which incorporated the inaugural Rock N Roll Half Marathon. Inishowen had 30 athletes at the event - the largest number from any one club. When the gun went for the 8.30am start, there was an electric atmosphere with 7000 athletes making their way down O’Connell Street. And with live bands at every mile it was an event that should attract larger crowds in future.
